Window Decorating Contests

Decorating Windows for a Cause

In 2019, Destination Carlisle started our window decorating contests to help build morale and community among downtown merchants and to help beautify our storefronts for our patrons and neighbors.  We hold these contests four times a year, and we do all the legwork needed to coordinate the contests.

We gather participating businesses, choose a benefiting charity, provide voting jars and signage, create guides and all graphic design work, generate interest and social media promotion, and collect and count monies.

Your Votes Count!

You decide who created our best downtown window display by using your spare change.  Each participating location is given a collection jar, where you can use coins and bills to vote for your favorite windows.  Whoever receives the most money in votes wins!

Benefits Local Charities

All the money collected as votes gets split between a local charity chosen for that contest and Destination Carlisle's efforts to improve the downtown business district and amenities for our downtown guests and raise awareness for our lovely downtown

Four Times a Year

You have four chances each year to see beautiful windows and help our causes.  We hold contests in coordination with spring, our Summer Bucket List, Halloweekend, and the Christmas holidays.
