Through the S.O.S. program, your donations do double duty. You donate towards saving small businesses in the Carlisle community by giving them a large purchase and then those purchases are donated to local charities and frontline workers. Learn more about the program in the next section. See the program's press below.
We are thankful for donations of any amount. Please use the Paypal link to help support our local small businesses, support local charities, and thank frontline workers all at the same time! If you would like to tell us what charity or frontline working staff should get the donation, please email us. The address to mail donation checks below the donate button. We are a 501(c)3 organization.
Donations can be made by check by mailing to:
Destination Carlisle S.O.S. Fund
56 W. High Street
Carlisle, PA 17013
Please make the check out to "Destination Carlisle" and put "SOS" in your memo line. Thank you so very, very much!
We collect monetary donations from individuals and organizations via Paypal. We have raised $20K, helped 65 businesses so far, and hope to raise even more. As our community continues to support the program, we'll continue to coordinate it by helping businesses.
Every time donations reach $300, we pick a different Carlisle small business from which to purchase gift cards/products. This purchase then provides a quick infusion of cash that they can use to pay their overhead costs, order inventory, or however they would like. See the list of businesses you've helped below.
We then take the gift cards or products we purchased and use them to thank frontline workers, such as EMTs, hospital and nursing home staffs, and firemen, or give them to local charities who can use them to help support their clients. We should have 2000 $10 gift cards to gift because of you!
