2019 Farm-to-Table for Charity

Burd's Nest Brewing Company

On Friday, October 18, 2020, Destination Carlisle hosted our first fundraising dinner event, which was an intimate four-course meal for 30 people.  Our amazing dinner was prepared by Chef Duane Miller, Executive Chef at Cafe Bruges, and Maria Ntzanis, owner/chef of Grazery, using seasonally-appropriate fresh ingredients provided by local farms. Our dinner was hosted outside under the stars  in Cumberland County Historical Society's Pocket Park.  String and fairy lights and candles created a soft glow as our courses were served by downtown small business owners.  After our dinner concluded, our guests were treated to a TimeWalker Tours' ghost tour  of downtown Carlisle.

This enchanting night benefited The Salvation Army of Carlisle's Stuart House Project and Destination Carlisle.  With the help of our window-decorating contest, this dinner contributed to our $1000 donation to The Salvation Army.
